The drop from 2008 to the present for the top 1% looks big but don’t feel bad for them. Overall their income has grown more than three times as much as it has for everyone else since 1979.

Inequality is moving up the systemic agenda but the Occupy movement needs to be better organized to influence the institutional agenda. First organize to influence elections but that organization has to be maintained to influence the process of governing, which is where corporate lobbyists do the most damage.
